I too love the quote by Elisabeth Stone and as I become a mother for the second time I now know exactly what this means. I cant even relate this feeling to anyone other than your own child. oh shannon and sahra, the 'pieces of my heart' collection is absolutely amazing!! it touched me so much tears came to my eyes.(seriously, i cried when i saw the pieces of me set.)
ReplyDeletei have two wonderful babies--3 years and 10 months--and usually when i think of hotmama jewelry i think of them, but when i saw the pieces of me set my mind/heart/soul went straight to MY mother, who passed away unexpectedly just two weeks before i delivered my baby 10 months ago. for me, the tiny heart necklace represents my mother rising to heaven, leaving a small heart-shaped hole in my heart BUT it also symbolizes the precious gift of joy that God sent down to fill that hole, my sweet baby boy. such a miracle. this set symbolizes those two events perfectly. i love them. whoever wins/buys this set has something really special. i would be so blessed to win this giveaway.

I would choose the Piece of My Heart Necklace because I LOVE that Joplin song as well, but also because it's extra sentimental right now that I'm carrying our 3rd baby -- it's gorgeous!

I would have to say I would love to have the piece of my heart necklace. It actually represents my best friend who is my soul mate. I love my children more than I can say and I truly married the perfect man but to have a friend who knows your every thought at this stage in life and just keeps evolving as a person with me is rare and precious. She is my back bone in so many ways and loves everything that bears a heart on it, so I would wear this in regards to her.

ReplyDeleteI would choose the Teensy Heart Initial Necklace ans put my husbands initial on it. He is my rock, my life, my heart, my everything. He makes my world a better place to be in. In these hard times, he still gets up every day and trys to make things better for me and our children. He never complains, never loses faith. He just keeps swimming!
