Today's the Day!

We're finally moving into the studio today. I can't quite believe it.
Somebody pinch me.

I'm elated for a clean slate for fall and the creative space I've always dreamed about. I posted previously here and here about this project, in case you didn't see it before.

What I also can't believe is that Brett has built it completely solo with his own bare hands. Even cooler, he has managed to use almost all salvaged materials. He really is an amazing man, that husband of mine. Charlotte, my friend who works with me in the studio mentioned that we should get a plaque made in his honor & have it installed on the side of the building. Not a bad idea.

I've only managed this one photo so far.
But I'll take more as we continue to get moved in. More to come soon!

I loved poking around your blog today. I am in the blog class with you and I have been most delinquent about working because my two kids have been home and just back to school today (4th and 7th grade). I am trying to get going in the studio and was so inspired by your post today and those tiny "rooms or houses of one's own." I can't wait to see more pics. of what it looks like. I love your work and hope one day to treat myself to one of your creations...Congratulations on your new space.

Hi Shannon,
Like Deborah, I was also in your blog Triage class. Your post got my attention. Though I've had my studio space for 6 years, I'm giving it a completly makeover. I've post about it on 8/17 with "before pictures" Can't wait for more pictures of your space, soon I hope!
