A Relaxing Dinner Party

Typically I would never describe my dinner parties as relaxing. But I recently hosted one that made me realize that "relaxing dinner party" is in fact not an oxymoron.

For this reason, I feel compelled to put in a plug for my friend Katie Bruzdzinski and her personal chef company called Eat. Her website is http://www.icookyoueat.com. I always love the sound of that sentence: "I cook, you eat!" (When someone is saying it to me, that is).

Katie and I started our businesses at the same time a few years ago. She laid out an amazing spread of food at my launch party oh so long ago. I was happy to be able to hire her this year to do a dinner party as a special holiday thank you to my studio managers and their sweeties.

Here we all are, so happy because Katie waited on us all evening.

Katie tells me that she cooks a lot for new moms who are home exhausted with their babies. Friends will often go in together and hire her for a week to shop, cook and clean up. Also she gets hired by busy working moms who want a nutritious meal at home with their families even if their own schedules are too busy for cooking. Sounds divine, doesn't it?
