My sweet husband has given up his last 2 weekends to start building my art studio in the back yard for me. I can hardly believe we have started, as this has been my hope for so long. Now we are racing to beat the snow that is usually falling in Boulder by now. For some reason it has been in the '70's which is unprecedented, so we are taking it as a sign to get going on our project.
I just found this series of artist interviews about their
studios on Poppytalk, which I am drooling over.
My five year old son has been especially interested
in the work going on and so I love photos like these where
the artists integrate their kids into the mix.
We are thinking maybe a loft for him?
Currently the only photo that I could post is a one with a big mound of fresh dirt and an unpainted wooden floor. But I am dreaming of some twinkling Christmas lights and a wreath hanging on the door, maybe a last minute holiday open studio? Ahh I am always so overly optimistic. Stay tuned for more updates and hopefully some pretty pictures of my own.
